The Primary Computer Science Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and age-appropriate computer science lessons to primary school students, fostering digital literacy, computational thinking, and problem-solving skills. The teacher will encourage creativity, innovation, and responsible use of technology to support learning and development.
Key Responsibilities
Lesson Planning and Delivery:
Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
Teach fundamental computer skills, coding, and basic programming languages suitable for primary students.
Introduce students to computational thinking, problem-solving, and digital creativity.
Student Engagement:
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Use hands-on activities, games, and interactive tools to make learning engaging and fun.
Encourage collaboration and teamwork through group projects and activities.
Curriculum Development:
Design age-appropriate computer science and technology lessons tailored to different learning abilities.
Stay updated with advancements in educational technology to enhance the curriculum.
Technology Integration:
Collaborate with other teachers to integrate technology into the broader curriculum.
Guide students in using technology responsibly and ethically.
Assessment and Reporting:
Monitor and assess student progress through quizzes, projects, and assignments.
Provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate student records.
Communicate with parents about student achievements and areas for improvement.
Professional Development:
Participate in training sessions, workshops, and conferences to enhance teaching skills.

Qualifications and Skills
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Master 's in Computer Science ,Information Technology,
A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent) is preferred.
Experience:
Prior experience teaching computer science or ICT to primary school students.
Familiarity with coding tools such as Scratch, Blockly, or Python for beginners.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in educational software and basic programming tools.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles.
