Job Summary:

The Primary Computer Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive Computers and Coding lessons to students in grades K-5. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Computer science and a passion for teaching young children. This role requires creativity, enthusiasm, and the ability to inspire a love for Computer science in students.

Key Responsibilities:

Instruction: Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences in the classroom. Curriculum Development: Develop and implement a curriculum that is aligned with school standards and educational goals, focusing on inquiry-based learning and hands-on Experience. Student Engagement: Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, curiosity, and exploration. Assessment: Evaluate student performance and progress through regular assessments, providing feedback and support to help students achieve learning objectives. Integration: Collaborate with other teachers to integrate concepts into other subject areas, enhancing overall student learning experiences. Classroom Management: Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among students. Parent Communication: Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns. Resource Management: Manage and maintain Computer lab, equipment, and supplies, ensuring all resources are used effectively and safely.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field. Certification: Teaching certification or licensure as required by the state or educational institution. Experience: Previous teaching experience, particularly with primary-aged children, is preferred. Subject Knowledge: Strong knowledge of basic concepts and principles. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
