This is a full-time on-site role for a Pricing Analyst (Freight Forwarding) at Bali And Company Logistics Private Limited, located in Connaught Place, New Delhi. The Pricing Analyst will lead freight procurement, margin planning, trade lane dynamics, and vendor negotiations across Air and Sea (Import and Export) hands-on.
Summary
If you've spent 2-5 years in freight forwarding, you'll be a suitable fit.
We're seeking a seasoned Pricing Analyst to lead our in-house operations for the freight forwarding division across Air and Sea (Import and Export). The ideal candidate is someone who understands freight procurement, margin planning, trade lane dynamics, and vendor negotiations across Air and Sea (Import & Export).
This is not a role for people looking to "try something new."
Your Core Responsibilities
You'll lead "Pricing" operations across Air and Sea (Import and Export). Specifically:
Procure and compare rates from liners, NVOCCs, airlines, co-loaders, and consolidators
Negotiate rates and close bookings across FCL, LCL, breakbulk, and air freight
Create and maintain trade lane-specific pricing sheets and rate trackers
Build and manage relationships with overseas agents for cross-trade, DDU/DDP, and door-to-door rates
Track free days, surcharges, quote validity, and contract terms
Prepare accurate cost sheets and GP calculations for each shipment
Support sales/RFQs with fast and competitive spot quotes
Collaborate with the operations team to ensure pricing accuracy and margin control
This Role Is for You If
You've directly handled freight pricing and procurement for both air and sea, end-to-end, not just coordination
You know how to build margin-positive shipments
You're confident negotiating rates with liners, co-loaders, NVOCCs, and agents across key trade lanes
You maintain organized rate sheets, cost trackers, and understand how surcharges, free days, and terms impact profitability
You've worked with overseas agents on DDP/DDU, door-to-door, and cross-trade shipments, and understand how to quote them accurately
You see pricing as an important commercial metric, not a support function, and take full ownership of making each shipment profitable
Must Haves
2-5 years in freight forwarding pricing or rate procurement (Air or Sea)
Strong understanding of INCOTERMS, trade lanes, and carrier pricing structures
Proven ability to negotiate rates, plan margins, and maintain vendor relationships
Working knowledge of FCL/LCL, Air Cargo, and Cross-Trade shipments
Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for rate management
Commercial awareness with focus on accuracy and profitability
Strong and well established network of agents, NVOCCs, freight partners, and shipping/airline reps across key trade lanes (China, Europe, Middle East, USA & Far East)
Nice to Have
Experience in cross-trade or DDP/DDU shipments
Familiarity with freight management systems or ERP tools
Understanding of customs and duty impact on landed cost
