• Act as a pricing and promotions expert within a defined set of categories, by recommending new retail prices and promotional plans in reaction to changing competitive dynamics, financial targets, and consumer preferences
• Become an expert user of pricing and promotion analytics tools, continually providing constructive feedback to guide ongoing development roadmaps
• Build pricing and promotional analytics reporting, analyze the reporting, and concisely summarize learnings in a visually appealing manner to management teams
• Work closely with various other analytics experts from both within and outside the organization (category strategy, competitive intelligence, customer analytics, external partners, etc.) to build complementary capabilities with limited redundancies
• Actively monitor business performance and competitive landscape to proactively recommend course-corrections whenever necessary.
• Partner with competitive intelligence team to compare Giant Eagles pricing and promotional strategies vs. those of our key competitors to identify opportunity areas and competitive advantages
• Support the merchandising teams by providing pricing and promotional effectiveness reporting and aiding merchants with the information necessary to maximize leverage in vendor negotiations
• Train analysts who are new to the organization, to help support the onboarding and development process
• Maintain the accuracy of SOPs and training documents related to core job functions
• Support special projects and complete miscellaneous analysis as needed
