Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and machinery.
Prepare annual, monthly, and weekly maintenance plans.
Ensure adherence to PM schedules and take corrective steps for delays.
2. Equipment & Asset Management
Maintain accurate records of equipment history, maintenance logs, and breakdown reports.
Ensure availability of critical spare parts by coordinating with the stores/procurement team.
Conduct periodic inspections of equipment to ensure optimum performance and reliability.
3. Team Management
Supervise and guide the preventive maintenance team, technicians, and engineers.
Conduct training sessions for staff on maintenance best practices, safety, and SOPs.
Assign daily tasks and monitor team performance.
4. Breakdown & Root Cause Analysis
Investigate root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Work closely with operations and production teams to reduce downtime.
Develop improvement plans to eliminate repetitive breakdowns.
5. Safety & Compliance
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety norms, statutory requirements, and company policies.
Conduct risk assessments and ensure proper lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Support audits (internal/external) for maintenance and safety.
6. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed PM reports, checklists, and equipment performance records.
Prepare KPI reports (MTBF, MTTR, Downtime, Schedule Compliance).
Present monthly PM performance reports to management.
7. Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to enhance equipment efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
Implement predictive maintenance techniques where applicable.
Recommend equipment upgrades or replacements.
5-10 years of experience in maintenance, with at least 3 years in a preventive maintenance supervisory or managerial role.
Experience in manufacturing, construction, plant operations, or engineering services preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems and equipment.
Ability to prepare and execute preventive maintenance plans.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of TPM, RCA, Kaizen, 5S, and other maintenance tools.
Excellent communication and team management abilities.
Proficient in MS Office and maintenance software (CMMS).
