Press Tool designer

1. Software knowledge : Autocad, Solidwork
2. Knowledge : Tool Designer of Press Tools Compound, Progressive, StageTools up to 300Ton, Machining Experience
3. Knowledge of Making toll design, die making. Die setting
Handled drilling, tapping, hand press, power press, lathe, surface grinder, milling machine.
4. Measuring instrument like Vernier, micrometer.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

Process planning and feasibility analysis of sheet metal stamping parts. Making tool layouts and preparing the tool costing. Making simulation and feasible report for draw/forming parts. Designing various types of press tools. Working with die designers on suggested print modifications. Calculating proper timing of dies. Creating quotations and cost estimations for press tools and fixtures. Creating tool concepts in 3D models using Solidworks software. Provides engineering consultation on manufacturing processes, possible tooling and gaging requirements, and cost/delivery analysis Work primarily on fixtures for assembly, pressing, work holding, special tools used in machining and assembly Develop and implement cost reduction programs consistent with Lean Manufacturing principals Lead or participate in cross functional project teams designed to introduce new products, improve existing products, better our manufacturing process or, advance our competitive advantage in the marketplace Determine practical approach to determining tolerance as it relates to manufacturing and die construction Provide estimate for the amount of hours to design, process, and manufacture and inspect tooling components to support all facets of final product delivery Evaluate what equipment and process will be needed to complete the work Uses computerized design and computer aided engineering tools to perform job requirements Has a good knowledge of various materials (tools, steels )
