Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Designing and developing Precision Blanking, Progressive, and Forming Tools for advanced Sheetmetal components using CAD software like CATIA, NX, SolidWorks.

2. Selection of Material, drafting drawings applying GD&T, including assembly drawings, part drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs).

3. Analysing component designs for manufacturability using press tools and identifying potential issues, deciding on process flow.

4. Strong knowledge of tool manufacturing processes and estimation of costing.

5. Tool trials and troubleshooting, Root cause analysis and Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA).

6. Optimization of tool layout, implementing new tool design concepts and modifying existing designs to improve tool life, reduce costs, and enhance performance.

7. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure tooling meets project requirements and manufacturing standards.

Qualifications:

8-10 years of experience in Press Tool Design and Manufacturing.

Proficiency in CAD software and deep understanding of Sheetmetal manufacturing processes.

Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to details and GD&T
