The Preschool Teacher is responsible for creating and implementing developmentally appropriate lessons and activities in a nurturing, safe, and engaging classroom environment. This role fosters young children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth through play-based learning, creative exploration, and structured routines.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood learning standards (language, literacy, math, science, art, and social skills).
Create a warm, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive peer interactions.
Observe each child's developmental progress; document milestones and share updates with parents.
Manage classroom behavior using positive guidance techniques and establish clear, consistent routines.
Organize and supervise indoor and outdoor play, ensuring all activities are safe and age?appropriate.
Prepare learning materials, set up learning centers, and maintain a clean, well?organized classroom.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians via newsletters, conferences, and informal updates.
Collaborate with fellow teachers, assistants, and administrators to plan events (field trips, celebrations) and coordinate transition into kindergarten.
Qualifications & Education:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (or equivalent CDA credential).
State?required teaching license or certification for preschool/early childhood education.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of child development theories and best practices in early learning.
Excellent verbal and written communication; comfortable engaging with both children and adults.

Working Conditions:
