PRIMARY PURPOSE: Responsible for the effective delivery of teaching programs within your relevant discipline. The role entails you to work closely with the coordinator to ensure a holistic approach is taken to the curriculum and the underlying principles and strategies of the school are met. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: ACADEMIC RESPONSIBILITIES: \xc2\xb7 Manage and implement the day-to-day academic duties as assigned by the school \xc2\xb7 Strongly support the coordinator to effectively implement high quality standards of the Curriculum \xc2\xb7 Effectively coordinate with colleagues to ensure smooth functioning of classroom Teaching & Learning \xc2\xb7 Communicate with parents to ascertain academic / non- academic performance of students \xc2\xb7 Read and understand the DRM, ensure clarifications of doubts prior to implementation \xc2\xb7 Be vigilant regarding the need and growth, of each child and update the coordinator regarding the same. \xc2\xb7 Develop curricula components that contain accurate and up to date content knowledge and exhibit sequential learning experiences, making strong links between intended learning outcomes and assessment. \xc2\xb7 Design learning experiences that cater extensively to students\xe2\x80\x99 needs, interests, learning styles and abilities applying up to date content knowledge. Demonstrating creativity when planning integrated units of work across learning areas as appropriate. \xc2\xb7 Design teaching aids and resources wherever appropriate. \xc2\xb7 Review and update subject curriculum based on feedback received. \xc2\xb7 Display a high level of initiative and independence in tasks related to curriculum development and team development \xc2\xb7 Design lesson plans and assessments that reflect a deep understanding of the content, an appreciation for the level of instruction that is appropriate for students, and an awareness of available resources. \xc2\xb7 Submit teaching plans and documentation within required timeframes and guidelines. \xc2\xb7 Maintain order in the School and expected to display the highest standards of respectful and responsible behavior.
