The School Head is responsible for the overall academic, operational, and administrative leadership of the preschool. This role ensures the highest standards of early childhood education, child safety, staff performance, parent satisfaction, and business outcomes, in alignment with the organization's vision, values, and quality benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership
Ensure effective implementation of the prescribed early childhood curriculum and pedagogy.
Maintain high standards of teaching and learning through regular classroom observations, mentoring, and teacher evaluations.
Monitor child development, assessments, and learning outcomes.
Promote a child-centric, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
School Operations & Administration
Oversee day-to-day school operations, ensuring smooth functioning of academics, facilities, and support services.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, hygiene, and child protection policies.
Manage school schedules, calendars, events, and resource planning.
Team Leadership & Development
Recruit, train, mentor, and manage teaching and non-teaching staff.
Foster a collaborative, positive, and performance-driven work culture.
Conduct regular staff meetings, performance reviews, and professional development initiatives.
Parent Engagement & Admissions
Build strong relationships with parents and address concerns proactively.
Lead parent orientations, meetings, workshops, and school events.
Drive admissions, retention, and community outreach initiatives in collaboration with the marketing team.
Financial & Business Management
Support revenue growth through admissions and enrollment planning.
Manage budgets, expenses, and cost controls as per organizational guidelines.
Ensure optimal utilization of resources and infrastructure.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Maintain documentation, reports, and records as required by management and regulatory authorities.
Ensure implementation of internal quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Uphold brand standards, policies, and procedures at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education / Early Childhood Education / Child Development or related field.
Teaching certification or Early Years qualification preferred.
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role (School Head / Center Head / Academic Coordinator).
Experience with international early years curricula (EYFS, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, IB PYP - early years) is an advantage.
