Position Summary



We are seeking a dynamic, technically-savvy Pre-Sales Executive to drive our B2B enterprise sales initiatives. This role demands a unique blend of technical expertise, communication excellence, and relationship-building capabilities to support complex, multi-stakeholder procurement software sales cycles. The ideal candidate will be an extroverted communication friendly professional who can transform complex technical concepts into compelling business narratives while maintaining technical depth and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities



Lead Generation & Qualification



Execute strategic cold calling and warm outreach campaigns to Fortune 500 and mid-market enterprises Qualify Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) through structured discovery conversations Conduct comprehensive needs assessment calls to understand prospect procurement challenges and requirements Maintain consistent activity levels with monthly targets for calls, meetings, and lead progression

Technical Product Demonstrations



Deliver compelling live demonstrations of VENDX's multi-modular procurement platform including Upstream (Vendor Onboarding, E-Sourcing, RFQ, Auctions) and Downstream (Delivery Tracking, Payments, ERP Integration) modules Customize product presentations to address specific prospect pain points and use cases through accurate problem area scoping and solutions against them Conduct process workflow demonstrations showcasing procurement digitization journey from sourcing to payment Present VENDX Genie (AI-powered procurement assistant) capabilities and ROI potential Handle technical objections and questions during demonstrations with confidence and accuracy

Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management



Manage introductory meetings with C-level executives, procurement heads, and IT decision-makers Build and nurture relationships with multiple stakeholders throughout extended B2B sales cycles Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Implementation teams Facilitate client meetings, product evaluations, and proof-of-concept discussions along with creating POC documents

Documentation & Proposal Support



Create comprehensive technical documentation including feature comparisons, integration specifications, POC and implementation timelines Develop customized business proposals highlighting ROI, cost savings potential, and implementation roadmaps Prepare detailed responses to RFPs and technical questionnaires Document client requirements and communicate them effectively to internal teams Maintain accurate records of all prospect interactions and progress in CRM system

Sales Process & Pipeline Management



Support sales team through the entire customer acquisition funnel from initial interest to contract closure Conduct competitive analysis and positioning to differentiate VENDX against other procurement platforms Participate in onsite or online client meetings and presentations as and when required Collaborate on pricing discussions and contract negotiations Achieve monthly and quarterly targets for demonstrations, Sales Accepted Leads (SALs), and proposal submissions

Required Qualifications



Educational Background



Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field MBA or advanced degree preferred

Experience Requirements



Experienced Candidates:

2-4 years of proven experience in B2B software sales, pre-sales, or technical consulting, preferably in SaaS or enterprise software

Fresh Graduates:

Exceptional candidates with relevant internships in sales, business development, or technical consulting

Technical Competencies



Strong understanding of enterprise software solutions, SaaS platforms, and cloud technologies Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Infor etc.) and procurement processes preferred Proficiency in CRM platforms and sales automation tools Advanced presentation skills with ability to create compelling technical demonstrations Strong analytical skills for understanding ROI calculations and business case development

Communication & Interpersonal Skills



Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English (additional Regional Indian languages preferred) Proven ability to present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences Strong listening skills and consultative selling approach Confident public speaking and presentation abilities Relationship-building skills for managing multiple stakeholders simultaneously
