The Presales Executive / Assistant Manager - Presales will support and lead presales activities by understanding customer requirements, designing solutions, preparing proposals, and assisting the sales team in closing opportunities. The role involves close collaboration with sales, product, and technical teams and may include mentoring junior team members at the Assistant Manager level.
Key Responsibilities
Understand customer business requirements and recommend appropriate solutions
Support sales teams during client meetings, presentations, and negotiations
Prepare and review proposals, quotations, presentations, and RFP/RFI responses
Conduct product demonstrations and solution walkthroughs
Coordinate with internal teams for solution design, costing, and timelines
Maintain presales documentation, templates, and knowledge repository
Track opportunities and update CRM systems
Perform market and competitor analysis to support sales strategy
Lead presales efforts for key or complex accounts
Review and finalize presales deliverables to ensure quality and accuracy
Mentor and guide Presales Executives
Support sales forecasting and pipeline reviews
Act as a presales point of contact for strategic clients
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred for Assistant Manager role)
1-3 years of presales experience for Executive level
5-8 years of presales / solution consulting experience for Assistant Manager level
Strong understanding of sales lifecycle and customer engagement
Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills
Ability to understand technical or service-based offerings
Preferred Skills
Experience with CRM tools
Proposal writing and bid management experience
Client-facing and stakeholder management experience
Team handling or leadership exposure (for Assistant Manager level)
