We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive

Pre-Sales Consultant

to join our team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in

proposal writing

, and other donor agencies. Proficiency in handling the

GeM Portal

, along with expertise in

client coordination

management presentations

, is essential.

This role demands a dynamic professional with a blend of technical, analytical, and communication skills to manage pre-sales activities and drive business opportunities effectively.

Key Responsibilities:1. Proposal Writing and Bid Management:



Develop comprehensive and compelling proposals tailored to the requirements of government and donor agencies such as the

World Bank

,

UNDP

, and others. Review tender documents, RFPs, and RFQs to understand project requirements and deliverables. Draft responses to pre-qualification questionnaires and expression of interests (EOIs). Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on technical and financial proposals. Manage submission deadlines and ensure compliance with bid requirements.

2. Tendering Process Management:



Oversee the complete tender lifecycle, from identifying opportunities to submitting bids. Conduct thorough feasibility studies and risk assessments for tenders. Maintain accurate documentation for all tendering activities.

3. GeM Portal Management:



Handle vendor registration, catalog creation, and bidding processes on the

Government e-Marketplace (GeM) Portal

. Monitor and respond to tender opportunities listed on the portal. Ensure compliance with GeM policies and updates.

4. Client Coordination and Engagement:



Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries during the pre-sales phase. Organize and participate in client meetings to gather requirements and provide project updates. Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, donors, and government officials.

5. Management Presentations and Solution Designing:



Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations for management and clients. Collaborate with technical teams to design innovative and practical solutions aligned with client needs. Provide strategic inputs on project approach and resource allocation during the pre-sales phase.

6. Market Analysis and Strategy Development:



Research market trends, competitor activities, and upcoming opportunities in the government and donor-funded sectors. Contribute to the development of strategies to expand the company's presence in targeted markets.

Required Skills:Technical Skills:



Proficiency in

proposal writing

for large-scale projects funded by governments, World Bank, UNDP, and similar agencies. In-depth understanding of

tendering processes

and requirements for international donor agencies. Hands-on experience with the

GeM Portal

and other procurement platforms. Strong ability to design solutions in collaboration with technical teams.

Soft Skills:



Excellent written and verbal communication skills to create compelling proposals and presentations. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously. Analytical thinking for evaluating client requirements and designing tailored solutions. Exceptional client-handling and negotiation skills.

Educational Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering/IT preferred). MBA in Information Technology, Marketing, or a related field is highly desirable.

Experience Requirements:



7-10 years of experience in: Proposal writing and bid management for

government projects

and

international donor agencies

(e.g., World Bank, UNDP). Managing tender processes and compliance for large-scale projects. Working with the

GeM Portal

for vendor registration, bidding, and catalog management. Client coordination, management presentations, and solution designing.

Preferred Skills:



Familiarity with international procurement standards and donor agency guidelines. Experience in working on IT or consulting projects in public and donor-funded sectors. Knowledge of CRM tools and project management software.
