Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities in areas such as literacy, numeracy, language development, art, and motor skills.
Follow school curriculum frameworks (e.g., Montessori, Play-based, or national guidelines).
Child-Centered Teaching:
Foster an inclusive and nurturing learning environment that supports the individual needs and interests of each child.
Use play-based and experiential learning strategies to encourage exploration and development.
Classroom Management:
Create and maintain a positive, safe, and organized classroom setting.
Encourage appropriate behavior through positive reinforcement and clear expectations.
Assessment & Reporting:
Observe and assess each child's progress and development.
Maintain accurate records and share regular updates with parents through meetings and progress reports.
Parent Communication:
Build strong relationships with parents and caregivers through regular communication, workshops, and involvement in school activities.
Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with fellow teachers, assistants, and support staff to create a cohesive learning environment.
Participate in team meetings, school events, and professional development sessions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
Diploma in Pre-Primary or Montessori Education (preferred or required depending on school)
Experience:
1-3 years of teaching experience in a preschool or early childhood setting preferred
