Job Summary

The Pre-Primary Teacher is responsible for nurturing and educating young children (typically ages 2.5-5 years) by creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities aligned with the school curriculum Foster a warm, caring, and safe classroom environment Encourage learning through play, storytelling, music, art, and hands-on activities Support children's social, emotional, and language development Observe and assess students' progress and maintain individual student records Identify learning or behavioral concerns and communicate them to parents and school authorities Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and safety standards Collaborate with other teachers and staff for curriculum planning and school events Communicate regularly with parents regarding child development and progress Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school activities

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred Relevant teaching experience in a pre-primary or kindergarten setting (preferred)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young children Ability to manage a classroom effectively Knowledge of early childhood development principles Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
