Job Description

The Pre-Primary Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that fosters the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children (typically aged 2 to 5 years). The teacher plans and implements age-appropriate activities and curriculum that promote foundational learning through play and exploration.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement daily lesson plans that meet the learning needs of pre-primary students. Create a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment conducive to early learning. Foster children's independence, creativity, and social development through play-based and structured activities. Use storytelling, music, games, art, and educational tools to support early literacy, numeracy, and motor skills. Observe and assess each child's progress and development, maintaining accurate records and portfolios. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and milestones. Ensure the health, safety, and hygiene of children by adhering to school policies and child protection standards. Collaborate with co-teachers, assistants, and other staff to create a cohesive and supportive team environment. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events. Maintain classroom discipline using positive behavior reinforcement strategies.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Montessori or Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) certification is an advantage.

Experience:

Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patience, compassion, and enthusiasm for working with young children Creativity in lesson planning and classroom activities Good organizational and time management abilities Basic understanding of child development and learning theories

Pay: ?8,000.00 - ?15,000.00 per month

Bhavnagar, Gujarat: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
