Job Description

We are looking for a skilled

Precision Scraper

with strong experience in

hand scraping of rotary tables and precision machine components

. The role involves achieving and maintaining

high accuracy in flatness, parallelism, and geometric alignment

for CNC machines, especially large rotary tables and mating surfaces.

Key Responsibilities

Perform

manual hand scraping

of rotary tables, machine beds, saddles, columns, and guideways Achieve specified

flatness, parallelism, perpendicularity, and surface contact (bearing ratio)

Scrape and match

rotary table top, base, and mating surfaces

as per drawing tolerances Use

master straight edges, surface plates, angle plates, and precision levels

Check and correct

parallelism and runout

of rotary table faces Apply

Prussian blue / spotting techniques

for surface contact verification Interpret

engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerance requirements

Support

machine assembly, reconditioning, and alignment

activities Maintain documentation of scraping results and inspection records Follow safety, quality, and cleanliness standards at all times
Requirements

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent qualification

5-12 years of hands-on scraping experience

, preferably on

rotary tables or large CNC machines

Strong knowledge of

flatness, parallelism, and geometric accuracy

Experience with

precision measuring instruments

(dial indicators, autocollimators, precision levels) Ability to read and understand

machine drawings and tolerance charts

Good hand skills, patience, and attention to detail
Preferred Skills

Experience in

large CNC machine assembly or rebuilding

Exposure to

Japanese or European machine tool standards

Knowledge of

turcite / guideway fitting

and slideway geometry Experience with

5-axis rotary tables

is an advantage
