Key Responsibilities

:

Operate internal (ID) and external (OD) grinding machines to achieve precision finishes and tolerances. Interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings to determine specifications. Set up grinding machines, including loading and securing the workpiece. Adjust machine settings, such as speed, feed, and grinding wheel dimensions. Perform routine maintenance of machines, including replacing worn grinding wheels. Conduct inspections and measurements to ensure the finished product meets quality standards. Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues during grinding operations. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements

:

Proven experience as a grinding operator, particularly in ID & OD grinding. Strong knowledge of grinding machine operations and setups. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Good understanding of machining tolerances and finishes. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Basic mechanical skills and understanding of machine maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications

:

Diploma or certification in machining or a related field. Prior experience working in the manufacturing of precision tools or collets. Knowledge of grinding wheel selection and dressing techniques.
