Precision Air Conditioning Operator

Role Summary

The Precision Air Conditioning (PAC) Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining precision cooling systems in a data center environment to ensure optimal temperature and humidity levels. The role requires continuous monitoring, quick response to fluctuations, and routine maintenance to support uninterrupted data center operations.

Key Responsibilities1. System Operation & Maintenance

Operate precision air conditioning (PAC) / CRAC / CRAH units on a 24/7 basis to maintain required environmental conditions. Perform routine preventive maintenance as per schedules and OEM guidelines. Identify system abnormalities and take corrective actions to avoid downtime.

2. Monitoring & Control

Continuously monitor temperature, humidity, airflow, and alarm systems through BMS/DCIM tools. Respond immediately to sudden temperature or humidity fluctuations to protect IT equipment. Ensure cooling systems automatically and manually adjust according to load conditions.

3. Troubleshooting & Fault Handling

Diagnose operational issues related to compressors, sensors, controllers, fans, and refrigerant circuits. Coordinate with maintenance teams or OEM vendors for breakdown repairs. Maintain logs of alarms, incidents, and corrective actions taken.

4. Compliance & Safety

Follow data center operational procedures, safety standards, and energy-efficiency guidelines. Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and company policies. Support audits and inspections related to facility operations.

5. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain daily operation logs, maintenance checklists, and shift handover reports. Report recurring issues, energy consumption trends, and improvement opportunities to management.

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of precision air conditioning systems (CRAC / CRAH) Understanding of temperature and humidity control in data center environments Ability to respond quickly to alarms and emergency situations Basic knowledge of BMS/DCIM systems Good troubleshooting and communication skills

Qualification & Experience

Diploma / ITI in HVAC, Refrigeration, or Mechanical Engineering 2-5 years of experience in data center or critical facility cooling operations Knowledge of 24/7 shift operations preferred

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
