The Pre-Primary Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating learning environment for children aged 2.5 to 6 years. The role involves planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth in young learners, laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the school's early childhood curriculum.
Foster a warm, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
Use play-based and inquiry-driven teaching methods to support developmental milestones.
Observe and assess children's progress, documenting learning and providing feedback to parents.
Maintain classroom discipline using positive reinforcement techniques.
Communicate regularly with parents through meetings, written reports, and informal conversations.
Organize and participate in school events, parent meetings, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
Ensure safety and hygiene standards are upheld at all times.
Collaborate with teaching assistants, co-teachers, and other staff to support student learning.
Attend staff meetings, workshops, and professional development sessions.
Qualifications:
Diploma in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Prior experience (1-3 years) in a pre-primary or nursery setting preferred.
Fluency in English (and other languages, if required).
Basic computer literacy for digital communication and lesson planning.
