A pre-primary teacher, also known as a preschool teacher, helps children develop social, emotional, and physical skills, and lays the foundation for academic learning. They create a nurturing environment and use a variety of teaching strategies to support each child's individual needs.

Create a supportive environment

: Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children

Develop lesson plans

: Plan and prepare lessons, activities, breaks, and meals

Support children's development

: Help children reach developmental milestones, and guide their social, emotional, and physical development

Assess and support children

: Track children's progress and report to parents

Collaborate with others

: Work with parents, caregivers, and other staff to implement lesson plans and support children

Plan field trips

: Select age-appropriate activities, coordinate with venues, and ensure transportation logistics
