- Proposal Engineer

Company: Yansons Engineering Pvt. Ltd.

Location: Pune (Office-based, with client/site visits if required)

Experience: 3-6 years in proposals, estimation, or techno-commercial engineering (preferably in EPC, heavy engineering, or pollution control equipment).

Key Responsibilities

Study client enquiries, tender documents, and technical specifications. Prepare technical and commercial proposals for turnkey projects and equipment supply. Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams to finalize costing. Interact with vendors/subcontractors to obtain quotations for outsourced manufacturing & services. Estimate project costs including material, fabrication, erection, commissioning, and logistics. Prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantities), costing sheets, and compliance documents. Assist in bid strategy with management and support negotiations with clients. Maintain updated records of proposals, win/loss ratio, and costing database.

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings & technical documents. Good understanding of industrial equipment, fabrication, and erection processes. Proficiency in MS Excel, costing tools, and preferably AutoCAD. Analytical mindset with accuracy in estimation. Strong communication skills for client and vendor coordination.
Qualification

B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. Experience in proposals/estimation within EPC / air pollution control / industrial equipment projects preferred.
