Job Description

We are looking for a PR Consultant with hands-on experience working with law firms, advocates, and legal professionals. This role focuses on managing media relations, building thought leadership, and strengthening the public reputation of legal clients across India, while strictly adhering to Bar Council of India (BCI) guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Client Advisory

Develop and execute PR strategies for law firms, advocates, and legal-tech clients
Advise clients on ethical visibility, positioning, and long-term reputation management
Translate complex legal subjects into clear, media-friendly narratives

Media Relations

Build and maintain relationships with legal, business, and national media
Secure consistent coverage in legal and business publications
Draft and pitch press releases, expert quotes, opinion articles, by-lines, and legal commentary

Thought Leadership

Position clients as subject-matter experts through op-eds, interviews, and columns
Support speaking opportunities such as panels, webinars, and industry events
Collaborate with content and social teams to align PR with LinkedIn and personal branding strategies

Reputation Management

Monitor media coverage and public sentiment
Support sensitive communication and crisis situations when required
Ensure all external communication is accurate, ethical, and compliant

Reporting & Client Management

Prepare monthly PR performance and coverage reports
Participate in client calls and review meetings
Manage multiple legal clients with discretion and confidentiality

Skills Required

Must-Have

Strong understanding of India's legal and professional services ecosystem
Working knowledge of Bar Council of India (BCI) communication guidelines
Excellent writing, communication, and media pitching skills
Ability to simplify and communicate legal topics effectively

Good to Have

Existing relationships with legal or business journalists
Experience working closely with senior lawyers or leadership teams
Exposure to LinkedIn thought leadership and crisis communication

Education

Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Law, or a related field
