Do you want to join our journey? What will I be doing?

• Develop and execute an annual PR / media relations plan aligned to the overall marketing plan, including a roadmap, segment strategies, and key initiatives, including plans for:

• Maintain professional relationships with media to support a sustainable, strategic approach to PR based on adding value (not just asking for coverage)

• Constantly be on the lookout for additional opportunities including podcasts, event speaking opportunities, awards, newsjacking, interviews, and communicating with publications to contribute op-ed content, expert articles, and blogs

• Identify, assess, and lead Rocketlane\xe2\x80\x99s participation in select analyst evaluations and also drive conversations with them

• Work with stakeholders on bylines, thought leadership pieces, and keynote presentations

• Provide continuous media monitoring and tracking

• Improve brand awareness through tier-1 media mentions in the US and grow Rocketlane\xe2\x80\x99s share of voice

• Work with executive management to maintain an internal communications plan that keeps the entire company aware of company messaging, success, and ongoing initiatives across departments

• Track relevant results, analyze opportunities for improvement, and compile ongoing reports for leadership

• Provide occasional support on special projects and events

What skills and experience do I need?

• A degree in public relations, strategic communications, and/or other related field

• An understanding of current public relations strategies and the PR/media landscape, including influencer marketing (bloggers, LinkedIn groups, etc.)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Knowledge of communications tools and channels to engage both external and internal stakeholders

• The ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment

• Detail-oriented and organized, with exceptional prioritization skills

Nice to have:

• Experience in the SaaS industry desired

• Prior agency experience in public relations, media relations, and/or communications

• An existing network of media connections a strong plus, especially within SaaS media outlets

• Experience in internal communications also a plus
