The Junior Public Relations Associate will play a crucial role in executing our PR and communications strategy. You will be responsible for identifying and securing high-profile guests for our breakITdown podcast, building relationships with media outlets and influencers, personal PR and branding of our founder and earning media coverage that enhances our brand reputation. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and creative individual to grow within a dynamic, in-house marketing team.
Key Responsibilities:
Founder Personal Branding & Executive PR (30%)
Collaborate with the founder and content team to develop a thought leadership strategy, identifying key messaging pillars and content themes.
Assist in drafting and ghostwriting content for the founder's professional social media profiles (primarily LinkedIn), including long-form articles, posts, and comments.
Research and secure speaking opportunities for the founder at relevant industry conferences, webinars, and panel discussions.
Proactively pitch the founder for media interviews, expert commentary slots, and byline article placements in target publications.
Help manage the founder's LinkedIn presence, ensuring a consistent cadence of high-quality posts and meaningful engagement with industry peers.
Media & Influencer Relations (20%)
Develop and maintain a targeted media list of journalists, editors, and producers at key technology, business, and trade publications.
Draft and pitch press releases, media alerts, and story ideas related to our company milestones, new service launches, and key podcast episodes.
Identify and build relationships with nano and micro-influencers in the tech and business space who can amplify our content.
Monitor media for mentions of Comprint Tech Solutions, our sub-brands, competitors, and industry trends.
Content & Campaign Support (10%)
Assist in writing and distributing press releases, company statements, and internal communications.
Repurpose key insights from our podcasts and long-form content into pitches and byline articles for media placement.
Track and report on PR metrics, including media mentions, secured placements, guest acquisition rates, and sentiment analysis.
Support the broader marketing team with event coordination and other communications-related tasks as needed.
Podcast Guest Acquisition & Coordination (40%)
Identify, research, and build a pipeline of potential high-profile guests for the BreakITdownpodcast, including India heads, CEOs, CTOs, and other leaders from major OEMs (HPE, Dell, Lenovo, etc.), system integrators, and large enterprises.
Conduct initial outreach via email, LinkedIn, and other professional channels with personalized, compelling pitches.
Manage all guest communications, from initial contact and scheduling to pre-interview briefings and post-episode follow-ups.
Collaborate with the Social Media Manager and Content team to prepare guest backgrounders and interview questions.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in a PR agency or in-house communications role, internships included.
Demonstrated ability to write clear, compelling, and error-free copy (press releases, pitches, professional emails).
Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to interact with senior executives.
A "no-is-not-an-answer" attitude, with strong research skills and persistence in outreach and follow-up.
Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Familiarity with the Indian media landscape and a keen interest in the technology sector.
