A PPM Buyer role plays a vital role in the procurement process of an organization. Their key responsibilities typically include, Supplier Selection, Negotiating, crafting PO, Inventory management. Overall, a buyer is essential for maintaining the supply chain, managing costs, and ensuring that the organization has the resources it needs to operate effectively.

How You'll Make an Impact

Be part of GT Control System Team providing services for NA Procurement Team within the Siemens Energy Service Controls & Digitalization Organization. Cross departmental communication and collaboration with Project Procurement Managers and Project Support Team ensuring all the purchasing requisitions are processed daily. Receive, review, and process purchase requisition in a timely manner. Develop a working relationship with vendors and suppliers while reviewing and selecting the best vendor quotes. Actively manage business projects with all sourcing requirements end-to-end (from project kick-off to delivery/installation) as the assigned PPM. Sourcing Suppliers, evaluating them as well as closely reviewing their quality and processes. Bid preparation / Contribution to increased hit rate Support project calculation with reliable and up-to-date cost data on the basis of Total Cost of Ownership (ToCO) (rock-bottom price information where available). Include (supplier) innovations (e.g. through concept competitions) that improve Siemens' cost position and/or the customer's benefit;

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree preferably in Mechanical/ Control / Instrumentation Degree. 8-10 years of experience within the energy industry including and supply chain management experience. Resilient and flexible in a dynamic work environment with proven problem-solving skills. Cross departmental communication, collaboration, and relationship building with individuals from functional departments across the company and with external suppliers. Experience with Digitalization, Controls, or Carbonization Business Fields is preferred. Be proficient in SAP and Microsoft Excel
