Job Description

Production Planning and Scheduling:



Develop and maintain detailed daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and manufacturing capacity. Optimize production processes and machine utilization (e.g., powder filling, stoppering, labeling lines) to minimize downtime, reduce waste, and maximize efficiency. Coordinate with the Production department to ensure the availability of manpower, machinery, and all necessary resources to meet production targets. Plan for new product launches and process changes, ensuring seamless integration into existing schedules.

Inventory Control and Materials Management:



Manage and maintain optimal inventory levels of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), excipients, primary/secondary packaging materials, and finished goods to avoid stockouts or overstocking. Implement and maintain robust inventory control systems (e.g., ERP/MRP systems like SAP) for accurate stock tracking and record-keeping. Generate Material Requirements Plans (MRP) and coordinate with the Procurement team to ensure timely raw material availability, tracking supplier lead times. Monitor inventory turnover, identify slow-moving or obsolete items, and implement strategies to reduce holding costs.

Coordination and Compliance:



Liaise with cross-functional teams including Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), Production, Warehouse, and Sales to ensure smooth operations and resolve any disruptions or delays. Ensure all planning and inventory activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), ISO standards, and other relevant pharmaceutical regulations. Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and reports. Manage deviations in production schedules (e.g., due to QC delays or machine breakdowns) by developing and implementing mitigation plans.

Data Analysis and Reporting:



Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production adherence, on-time delivery rates, inventory turnover ratio, and material waste reduction. Prepare and present detailed MIS (Management Information System) and dashboard reports for senior management. Utilize data analysis to identify bottlenecks and areas for process improvement, implementing lean manufacturing best practices where applicable

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
