PPC Engineer (Production Planning & Control)

Production Manager / Plant Head

Job Summary

The PPC Engineer is responsible for effective

production planning, scheduling, material coordination, and production control

to ensure timely delivery, optimum utilization of resources, and smooth manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning

Prepare

monthly, weekly, and daily production plans

based on sales orders and forecasts Develop

machine-wise and process-wise production schedules

Monitor plan vs. actual production and take corrective actions

Production Control

Track production progress and ensure adherence to schedules Identify bottlenecks and coordinate with production, maintenance, and quality teams Ensure on-time completion of work orders

Material Planning & Coordination

Coordinate with

stores, purchase, and SCM

for raw material availability Monitor inventory levels (RM, WIP, FG) and avoid shortages or excess stock Ensure timely issue of materials to the shop floor

MIS & Reporting

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly

PPC reports

Analyze production efficiency, capacity utilization, and delays Maintain production records and documentation

Interdepartmental Coordination

Coordinate with

Sales, QA, Stores, Maintenance, and Dispatch

Support dispatch planning as per customer delivery schedules

Continuous Improvement

Assist in

process improvement, productivity enhancement, and cost reduction

initiatives Support implementation of

ERP/MRP systems

Education & Experience

Qualification:

Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering

Experience:

2-5 years in PPC role in a manufacturing industry (Auto, Fabrication, Engineering, etc.)

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of

Production Planning & Control

Good understanding of manufacturing processes Experience in

ERP / MRP systems (SAP preferred)

Proficient in

MS Excel & MIS reporting

Strong coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Production plan adherence On-time delivery (OTD) Inventory turnover Reduction in production delays Capacity utilization
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
