Role Summary

The PPC Engineer is responsible for planning, scheduling, and controlling production processes to ensure efficient workflow, optimal resource utilization, timely delivery, and alignment with customer requirements. The role involves coordinating between production, procurement, quality, and supply chain teams.

Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and available capacity. Develop production schedules considering manpower, machine availability, and material requirements. Coordinate with design, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure readiness before production starts.

2. Material Planning & Control

Generate material requirement plans (MRP) and follow up with the procurement team. Monitor stock levels to avoid material shortages or excess inventory. Coordinate with stores to ensure timely issuance of materials to production lines.

3. Scheduling & Process Control

Issue production orders and track progress. Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) and ensure adherence to production timelines. Identify bottlenecks, delays, or machine issues and drive corrective actions.

4. Coordination & Communication

Liaise with production, maintenance, quality, logistics, and supply chain departments to ensure smooth operations. Update management on production status, constraints, and revised schedules. Collaborate with quality teams to ensure compliance with standards.

5. Reporting & Documentation

Maintain production metrics: OEE, cycle times, throughput, downtime, and rejections. Prepare daily/weekly MIS reports on production performance. Ensure proper documentation of production processes and changes.

6. Continuous Improvement

Participate in lean manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and other improvement initiatives. Optimize production plans to reduce cost, downtime, and waste. Identify opportunities for automation or efficiency improvement. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or related field. 1-5 years of experience in production planning & control (depending on level).

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
