Job description

Diploma / Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. 1-2 years experience in production planning. Mechanically inclined with a solid understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes and materials with a high emphasis towards medium / high volume manufacturing. Lead the implementation of production planning modules including configuration and customisation of the system to align with the company's production requirements. Forecasting and demand planning and procurement by collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish accurate demand forecasts and integrate them into the production planning process. Maintain and update master data related to production, ensuring data accuracy and consistency. Monitor and manage production capacity, ensuring that it aligns with production demands and identifying potential bottlenecks. Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand while maximising resource utilisation. Implement strategies to optimise inventory levels, minimise carrying costs and reduce stock-outs. Identify areas for process improvement and drive initiatives to enhance production planning, efficiency and accuracy. Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes and best practices. Must have a sense of ownership and responsibility, and the ability to deliver within given deadlines. Well developed and demonstrated interpersonal skills. Good communication skills are mandatory (English, Kannada, Hindi).
