This role involves creating data models, designing and developing reports and dashboards, and ensuring data accuracy and security. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of Power BI tools, data warehousing concepts, and experience with data visualization best practices.Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage the Power BI environment, including user access, permissions, and security settings.
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design and implement data models using Power Query and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) to support reporting needs.
- Optimize Power BI reports for performance and usability, ensuring data accuracy and timely updates.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Power BI performance issues, providing solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users to improve usage and understanding of Power BI tools.
- Stay updated on the latest Power BI features and best practices to continuously improve reporting capabilities.Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Power BI Administrator/Developer.
- Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query.
- Experience with SQL and data warehousing concepts.
- Knowledge of data integration techniques and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., Azure) and data storage solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field is preferred.Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Power BI certification is a plus.
- Experience with advanced analytics and statistical modeling.
