Substation & Sectioning Design (TSS, SP, SSP)
Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD) for TSS, SP, and SSP.
Design transformer, circuit breaker, isolator, surge arrester & switchgear arrangements.
Prepare equipment layout plans, control room layouts, and panel arrangements.
Develop sectioning/parallel arrangements, neutral sections, and isolator positioning.
Prepare cable routing, cable schedules, and interlocking diagrams.
Produce earthing layouts and bonding schematics for TSS/SP/SSP.
Power System Studies
Perform traction load flow studies for 25 kV conventional and AT systems.
Carry out short circuit calculations for both utility-side and 25 kV side.
Conduct protection coordination & relay grading (OC/EF/REF/differential/distance).
Size traction transformers based on peak load, diversity factor, and regeneration.
Perform voltage regulation & drop analysis up to the pantograph.
Conduct AT system studies, feeder balancing & current distribution analysis.
Perform earthing & bonding studies (IEEE 80 / EN 50522): touch/step voltage, GPR, rail potential.
Carry out insulation coordination studies (BIL, impulse withstand, surge duties).
Perform harmonic & power quality studies including THD and flicker analysis.
Execute busbar sizing, switchgear rating checks and thermal withstand analysis.
Conduct LV/HT cable sizing, ampacity, and thermal derating analysis
Requirements

Traction Substation (TSS) Design - Primary and Secondary design
Auto Transformer (AT) System design and feeder balancing

Return Current & Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) analysis
Transmission Line Interface & grid coordination
Power Quality Studies - harmonics, voltage regulation, feeder loading
Energy consumption modelling & regeneration analysis
