Contract Engineer Power Line Communication Engineer (Firmware) Relevant Experience: 5+ Educational Qualification: Bachelor / Master\'s degree in ECE/EEE Location: Bengaluru Contract Duration Minimum: 6 Months Notice period: Immediate to 15 days max : The candidate will define the power line communication architecture and develop proprietary algorithms for integration into our client\'s smart energy portfolio network. The candidate will also evaluate Zigbee and other protocol stacks for application in the residential energy product portfolio. This role will require the candidate to make critical decisions and take the lead in the implementation of communication backbones for several of our client\'s solar/storage products. Essential Functions: Define system architecture and develop proprietary algorithms in power line communication systems for solar applications. Conduct trade-off studies with other network protocols. Develop techniques for mitigating interferences in power line communication. Support with low-level hardware drivers for power line modems. Embedded software/ firmware development for protocol. Testing, debugging, and troubleshooting communication problems. Responsible for design, implementation, test, and integration of the power line communication algorithm. Knowledge and Skills: 5+ years\' experience in power line communication technologies Knowledge and experience in PLC system architecture (narrowband and broadband), implementation techniques and protocol specifications and standards, is a must. Experience with other networking protocols such as Zigbee, Thread, Matter is a plus. Experience in C/C++/ Python Experience in embedded software development Knowledge and working experience with modems and communication standards. Experience working with lab equipment, testing, and troubleshooting communication related hardware problems. Ability to build teams and mentor new engineers
