Create and develop mechanical components and systems for gensets from concept to production. Good command on design of sheet metal and structural components Produce detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and technical specifications using CAD softwares Proficiency in Auto CAD & creo software Good understanding of preparing genset layout, exhaust, fuel and cooling pipe routing Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., manufacturing, quality assurance, procurement) to ensure design feasibility and project alignment. Support prototype development and conduct testing to validate performance and address issues. Ensure all designs meet industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements. Identify and solve design-related issues that arise during manufacturing and testing. Implement design modifications based on testing feedback and identify opportunities for performance, cost, and reliability improvements. Proficient in design, Structural Layout, GA Drawing such as 2D drawing, 3D models Detailed engineering drawings & Bill of Material for complete DG Set and associated customer / user interfaces. Proficient in 3D CAD software - CREO, AutoCAD, in product assembly, solid parametric modelling, detailing. Good Genset peripheral systems and sub-systems knowledge, Conversant with functioning. Conversant with design metrics & analysis of Cooling Package, Fuel Systems, Air Intake Systems, Base frame, Shock & Vibrations, Exhaust Systems and after treatment, FEA etc Conversant with national / international codes & standards such as IS, ANSI, ASME, ISO, BS, IEC & SAE Product data management software like Windchill and IMS Knowledge of Govt Sector - Customer Specifications technical compliance, Tendering Preparation of Acceptance test procedures , Quality Acceptance Procedures, preparation and execution of DVP&R * Good Analytical & Problem solving skills
