Job description
Working at the crossroads of marketing inspiration and analytical insight, the Business Intelligence
Analyst plays a pivotal role in Cognizant digital transformation. Skilled at transforming relevant
data to help with business decision-making, BI analysts usually have a technical bachelor's degree
and work experience in programming and data analysis. This role is an Individual Contributor role
where you would be involved in identifying complex fuzzy problems, breaking them down into
smaller parts and implementing creative, data-driven solutions. You would be responsible for
defining, tracking and improving key metrics and communicating business trends.
Role and Responsibilities

• Minimum 4 years' experience in delivering operational and strategic Analytics as well as managing Analytics

projects.

• Solution architecture, proof of concept/prototype design, database design, and report testing.

• Responsible for data analysis and developing reporting specs, developing reports, and developing dashboards

and writing complex SQL queries.

• Design and develop database request on Alteryx.

• Worked closely with business users to create reports/dashboards using Tableau desktop.

• Create Prompts, Calculated Fields, customize Calculations, Conditions and Filter (Local, Global) for various

analytical reports and dashboards.

• Effectively used data blending, filters, actions, Hierarchies feature in Tableau.

• Experience on creating user groups, and scheduled instances for reports in Tableau.

• Building, publishing customized interactive reports Tableau server or Alteryx.

• Worked on Level of detail expressions and Table Calculations using Alteryx.

• Experience in trouble shooting of performance issues associated with Tableau reports.

• 4 years of experience on Tableau Desktop versions 2019 and later

• 4 years of hands-on experience on building interactive dashboard design and support business users to

understand the data and guide them right approach to build analytical dashboard
