Experienced Data Modeler to design, develop, and maintain scalable logical and physical data models that support analytics, reporting, and operational systems.
The role partners with data architects, engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure data structures are consistent, performant, and aligned with business needs and governance standards.
Total of 10 years of experience in IT industry.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather data requirements and translate them into conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Design and maintain normalized and dimensional models (star/snowflake schemas) to support BI, analytics, and operational use cases.
Define and document entity definitions, attributes, relationships, keys, indexes, and constraints.
Work with data engineers to implement models in data warehouses, data lakes, and transactional databases.
Ensure models adhere to data governance, security, and metadata management policies.
Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Support ETL/ELT design by specifying source-to-target mappings, transformations, and lineage.
Create and maintain metadata, data dictionaries, and model versioning artifacts.
Participate in data quality initiatives and root-cause analysis of data issues related to modeling.
Advise on best practices for master data management (MDM), reference data, and dimensional modeling.
Review and validate model implementations, perform impact analysis for schema changes, and provide guidance on migration strategies.
