Job Profile Summary

• We are seeking for a high-performing and self-motivated Power BI Developer with strong Healthcare software solution expertise to join our product development team and drive critical initiatives at Client.
• This role requires close collaboration with engineering, infrastructure and product teams, and involves ongoing interaction with a variety of end-users and internal stakeholders.

Essential Job Functions

• Design, develop, conduct unit testing, and maintain complex Power BI reports for scalability, manageability, extensibility, performance, and re-use
• Build Power BI semantic models and develop complex DAX formulas in support of healthcare dashboards
• Build Power BI dashboards using direct import and tabular models from a variety of data sources
• Provide technical expertise in areas of Power BI architecture, design, and implementation
• Build Power BI server workspaces, deploy apps to clients, administer workspace security
• Administer Power BI gateway connections and software updates
• Assist with user provisioning and administration of Azure AD tenant
• Deploy Power BI dashboards to workspaces for Apps or embedded applications
• Collaborate with team members to create useful Power BI reports and dashboards that provide insight, improve/automate processes, or otherwise add value to the team
• Perform technical walk-throughs of coded solutions to the functional areas
• Work through iterative review cycles to deliver results that meet or exceed user expectations
• Ensure consistency by adhering to a set of software coding and style guides
• Mentor junior level BI developers
• Tracks, reports, and acts on appropriate metrics for IT efforts across the portfolio

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Current and advanced knowledge of Power BI desktop including build of complex DAX formulas for healthcare metrics and semantic models
• Proven experience and strong development skills in Power BI and data analytics and visualizations
• Demonstrated knowledge of Power BI best practices for scalability, performance, content management and governance
• Ability to interpret technical or dashboard structure and translate complex business requirements to technical specifications
• Understanding of data extraction mechanisms and data warehousing concepts
• Ability to build dashboard solutions for healthcare strongly preferred
• Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong SQL query skills
• Ability to query and display large data sets while maximizing the performance of dashboards
• Working knowledge of Power BI deployment to Power BI service
• Understanding of advanced calculations and statistical functions
• A solid understanding of SQL, relational database management system, data modeling, and normalization

Minimum Education and Related Work Experience

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management or specialized training/certification or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years of current hands-on Power BI development and deployment experience with various types of data repositories (e.g., data warehouses, data lakes, data marts), metadata management, dimensional modeling, and ETL / integration
• Current Power BI certifications a plus
