Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Business Intelligence (BI) developer supports Cendyn's BI initiatives with data warehousing, data modelling, and report building expertise. The BI Engineer contributes directly to the buildout and refinement of Cendyn's BI through the surfacing data through report and dashboard building, with the goal of delivering fast and valuable business insights for Cendyn's clients and internal stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

Essential Functions: * Coordinate with the BI Product Owner to determine data reporting and analysis requirements.

• Assist in report generation to internal and external customers for business decision making.
• Participate in scrum process for agile development of Cendyn's suite of reports and dashboards.
• Implement BI solutions to achieve data reporting and analysis goals.
• Demystify technical processes into usable information for business users.
• Support the development of BI standards to meet business goals.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to identify new data requirements, analysis strategies and reporting mechanisms and maintain associated documentation.
• Recommend enhancements and modifications to optimize BI processes.
• Address BI questions and issues in a timely fashion.
• Maintain documentation for all BI processes.

Requirements:

Required Education and Experience: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or other related business/analytical disciplines or equivalent experience

• 3+ years of experience with SQL, data modeling, and report building
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in a role requiring application of analytic skills to integrate data into operational planning/business planning
• Experience using Microsoft technologies including Power BI, Synapse Analytics, Azure Analysis Services, transactional SQL, DAX, M, and Power Query
• Proficiency with query development, scripting, and visualization
• Advanced skills in Excel
• Advanced ability to draw insights from data and clearly surface them to stakeholders

Preferred Education and Experience: * Deep familiarity with CRM and/or Revenue Management database applications and enterprise-level software preferred

• Experience using XLMA endpoints, Active Directory, and Power BI Paginated Reports preferred
• Experience working within the hospitality Revenue Management and/or CRM disciplines strongly preferred

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m and subject to changes by Manager's communication.

Travel:

This position may require occasional travel.
