We are seeking an experienced

Power BI Developer

to join our analytics and reporting team for a 6-month contractual engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data visualization, DAX modeling, and data engineering concepts, with hands-on experience in

Microsoft Fabric

and

PySpark

for large-scale data processing and integration.

Company Description

Develop, design, and maintain

interactive Power BI dashboards

and

reports

for business stakeholders. Work closely with business and data teams to

gather, analyze, and interpret requirements

into scalable BI solutions. Create and optimize

data models (tabular and dimensional)

for efficient performance and reusability. Integrate Power BI with various data sources including

Microsoft Fabric (Data Lakehouse / Lakehouse / Warehouse)

. Develop

PySpark

data pipelines within Fabric / Synapse / Databricks to transform and prepare data for reporting. Implement

row-level security (RLS)

,

data refresh schedules

, and manage

Power BI service workspaces

. Ensure best practices in

data governance

,

version control

, and

deployment pipelines

. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Engineers, Analysts, Architects) to ensure seamless data delivery. Provide support for ad-hoc data analysis and

performance tuning

of reports and datasets.

Qualifications:

2-6 years

of hands-on experience in

Power BI development

and

data visualization

. Strong proficiency in

DAX

,

Power Query (M language)

, and

data modeling

concepts. Experience with

Microsoft Fabric

ecosystem (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2, Synapse Real-Time Analytics). Hands-on experience in

PySpark

for building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines. Solid understanding of

SQL

and

relational database concepts

. Familiarity with

data warehousing

principles,

star/snowflake schema

, and

dimensional modeling

. Working knowledge of

Azure Data Services

(e.g., Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory) is preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to have:

Experience in

DevOps for Power BI (deployment pipelines, Git integration)

. Knowledge of

Python

or

R

for data analytics. Exposure to

Azure Databricks

ADF pipelines

Fabric Data Science / AI workloads

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in
