Job Summary

The Powder Coater Worker is responsible for surface preparation and powder coating of metal components using electrostatic spray equipment, ensuring proper finish, quality, and safety as per company standards and ISO requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out surface preparation activities such as cleaning, degreasing, and masking of components. Operate powder coating spray gun under supervision or independently (as per skill level). Apply powder coating uniformly to achieve required thickness and finish. Load and unload components into the curing oven. Monitor curing time and temperature as instructed. Inspect coated parts for defects like uneven coating, pinholes, or color variation. Perform touch?ups or rework when required. Handle components carefully to avoid damage after coating. Maintain cleanliness of powder coating booth and surrounding area (5S). Follow daily production targets and supervisor instructions.
Quality Responsibilities

Ensure coating quality meets specified standards. Minimize rejection, rework, and powder wastage. Follow SOPs, work instructions, and quality guidelines.
Safety & Compliance

Use required PPE such as mask, gloves, safety shoes, and apron. Follow all safety, health, and environmental rules. Handle powder material and equipment safely. Report unsafe conditions, accidents, or near?miss incidents immediately. Comply with ISO 9001 / ISO 45001 and factory safety norms.
Skills & Competencies

Basic knowledge of powder coating process. Ability to operate spray gun and related equipment. Understanding of surface finish and coating defects. Discipline, attention to detail, and teamwork.
Education & Experience

Minimum education: 8th / 10th pass preferred. ITI or experience in powder coating is an advantage. Freshers can be trained.
Working Conditions

Factory / shop?floor environment. Exposure to heat, powder, and machinery (with PPE). Standing for long hours and handling metal components.
Performance Indicators (KPI)

Coating quality and rejection rate. Productivity and adherence to targets. Safety and housekeeping compliance.
