Lead the design and rollout of our new point-of-sale capability as part of a larger unified commerce transformation. This is a strategic role that goes beyond traditional POS ownership -- it focuses on delivering seamless, integrated customer and associate experiences across all channels.
While the POS platform is currently under evaluation, your immediate responsibility will be to own the integration landscape and collaborate on the design of a channel-agnostic API layer that powers consistent services (pricing, inventory, customer, payments, etc.). Once the POS vendor is selected, you will contribute to the MVP rollout in a pilot market, ensuring deep integration with internal systems and operational readiness.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own the POS product roadmap as a core in-store capability within the unified commerce ecosystem.
Define requirements, flows, and integration needs for POS based on cross-channel customer journeys and store operations.
Collaborate closely with architecture and engineering to ensure the POS is built on a channel-agnostic, API-first foundation.
Partner across internal teams to design how POS integrates with core systems (OMS, ERP, CRM, payments, promotions, and loyalty).
Define and prioritize key POS functions, including:
Transactional flows: product scan, returns, exchanges, discounts, tax handling
Omnichannel fulfillment: Buy Online, Pick Up In Store (BOPIS), in-store returns of online orders, endless aisle
Promotions: support for offers, bundled pricing, markdowns, and channel-aligned promotions
Customer profiles: seamless access to loyalty accounts, purchase history, contact info
Payments: integration with tender types (card, cash, gift card, wallet) and refund flows
Store operations: till management, shift reconciliation, device provisioning
Associate experience: intuitive UI/UX, training tools, responsive error handling
Work closely with digital commerce and marketing teams to ensure pricing, promotions, and customer data stay consistent across all touchpoints.
Own the MVP rollout in select markets once the POS platform is chosen -- including feature configuration, pilot management, and readiness support.
Define KPIs for POS usability, uptime, performance, and customer/associate experience.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven ability to manage complex integration landscapes, especially in a retail or omnichannel context.
Deep understanding of POS functional requirements and how they intersect with system architecture and operational workflows.
Solid experience with API-first product development, integration strategies, and real-time data flows.
Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering, store ops, and digital teams.
