Job Description

Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Due Diligence & Transaction Support

  • Assist in financial due diligence for early-stage and growth-stage investments
  • Analyze quality of earnings, working capital, cash flows, revenue recognition, and key risk areas
  • Support transaction closure from a tax and structuring perspective, including:
  • Review of deal structures (equity, CCPS, CCDs)
  • Tax implications under Income-tax Act, FEMA, and Companies Act
  • Coordinate with external advisors during diligence and closing
2. Valuation & Investment Analysis
  • Support valuation exercises under DCF, Rule 11UA, and other relevant methodologies
  • Assist in reviewing valuation reports issued by Merchant Bankers
  • Prepare internal valuation support notes for ICs, LP reporting, and audit purposes
3. Portfolio MIS & Performance Monitoring
  • Prepare and review monthly / quarterly MIS for portfolio companies
  • Analyze key financial and operating KPIs, burn rates, runway, and budget vs actuals
  • Assist in maintaining portfolio dashboards and trackers for senior management
4. Reporting & Presentation
  • Prepare high-quality Excel database and PowerPoint presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support investor, auditor, and board-level reporting requirements
Requirements
Education & Qualification
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) - qualified in the last 1-2 years
  • Schooling from CBSE or ICSE board
Experience
  • 1-2 years of post-qualification experience in:
  • Transaction Advisory / Due Diligence
  • Audit with exposure to startups, funds, or PE/VC clients
  • Valuation, Corporate Finance, or Deal Advisory roles
Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Financial statements and accounting standards
  • Taxation fundamentals impacting investments and exits
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (financial models, analysis, dashboards)
  • Strong PowerPoint skills for professional investment-grade presentations
Soft Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-deal environment
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical mindset
Professional maturity to interact with founders and senior advisors
