Key Responsibilities: Develop and optimize rubber compound formulations as per product requirements and customer specifications. Conduct lab trials and validations to evaluate compound properties and performance. Analyze and adjust raw material proportions to achieve targeted physical and chemical properties. Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure successful scale-up of developed formulations. Maintain documentation of formulations, trial reports, and process parameters systematically. Evaluate alternative raw materials for cost optimization while maintaining quality standards. Assist in troubleshooting formulation-related issues in production and provide technical support.
Skills: Strong knowledge of rubber polymers, chemicals, and compounding processes. Understanding of physical and rheological testing of rubber compounds. Ability to analyze compound failures and take corrective actions. Knowledge of rubber processing equipment and lab testing instruments. Good analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Polymer/Rubber/Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: 2-5 years in rubber compounding and formulation development.
Preferred: Experience in industrial rubber product formulation and knowledge of ASTM/ISO testing standards.
