Kalajee Jewellery is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Diamond Assorter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of diamond grading and sorting. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and consistency of our diamond inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
Diamond Grading:
Assess and grade diamonds based on the 4Cs (Carat, Cut, Clarity, and Color) using industry-standard tools and techniques.
Sorting:
Sort diamonds into categories based on quality, size, and other relevant criteria.
Quality Control:
Conduct thorough inspections to ensure all diamonds meet Kalajee Jewellery's high standards of quality.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of diamond assessments, including grading reports and inventory logs.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the procurement and design teams to ensure the right diamonds are selected for various jewellery pieces.
Market Research:
Stay updated on market trends and advancements in diamond grading techniques.
Inventory Management:
Assist in managing diamond inventory, including tracking stock levels and coordinating with suppliers for replenishments
Qualifications:
Education:
Certification in gemmology or a related field from a recognized institution.
Experience:
Minimum of 4-10 years of experience in diamond grading and sorting.
Skills:
Proficiency in using diamond grading tools and software.
Strong analytical and observational skills.
Excellent organizational and record-keeping abilities.
Good communication skills to liaise with team members and suppliers.
Personal Attributes:
High level of integrity and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Passion for diamonds and the jewellery industry.
Working Conditions:
Full-time position based in our Jaipur office.
Standard working hours with occasional overtime during peak seasons.
