The Policy Advisor - OCWC will serve as a key strategic resource for policy formulation, intervention planning, and victim-support-oriented frameworks related to online crimes against women and children. The role focuses on public policy analysis, strategic planning for the centre, strengthening collaborations and partnerships, and contributing to resource mobilization and annual planning. The position requires a strong blend of policy expertise, cybercrime domain understanding, and social sector engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a Public Policy Specialist to analyze and design effective intervention techniques related to online crimes against women and children.
Provide strategic inputs on victim support mechanisms and policy-driven responses.
Support the Centre as a strategic planner, contributing to long-term vision and policy alignment.
Facilitate and strengthen collaborations and partnerships with government bodies, law enforcement agencies, social sector organizations, and other stakeholders.
Provide substantive inputs to the annual work plan, ensuring alignment with national priorities and OCWC objectives.
Contribute to the development of resource mobilization strategies, including policy justifications and programmatic inputs.
Support evidence-based policymaking through research, analysis, and structured recommendations.
Skills & Requirements:
Full-time MSW or Postgraduate degree in a relevant field from a recognized university/institution.
Advanced certifications related to public policy, particularly in the context of crimes against women and children.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in cybercrime investigation with a focus on offenses related to women and children.
Hands-on exposure to areas such as mobile malware analysis, website investigations, and cryptocurrency investigations relevant to cybercrime policy formulation.
Proficiency in utilizing cyber investigation tools, platforms, and services to support policy analysis and intervention planning.
Experience in the social sector, including community engagement, women's studies, medical social work, or collaboration with mental health professionals and psychiatrists.
Strong understanding of victim-centric approaches, legal-policy frameworks, and inter-sectoral coordination.
Excellent analytical, communication, and strategic planning skills.
