Talent Formula (http://www.talentformula.co) is a consulting firm that offers outsourced financial and accounting Human Resources to Chartered Accounting firms worldwide. We have been asked to source staff on behalf of Polaris Shipping Agencies in Dubai UAE.
Polaris is looking for a dynamic and bright Accountant with 5 years' experience to immediately join their team. The accountant will work closely with the senior accountant and support in all accounting responsibilities within the company.
This is an Intermediate position with potential for growth in the role to Senior accountant with greater responsibilities and control.

Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate bookkeeping and basic accounting entries Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accurate cash reporting Reconcile accounts with vendors and sub-agents Assist in purchasing and processing journal entries, credit/debit notes, and cash entries Support month-end close processes and prepare basic financial reports Collaborate with operations and finance teams across regions to ensure smooth accounting operations


Key Qualifications & SkillsEducation: Semi-Qualified CA or MBA from any recognized university Experience: 5+ years in accounting operations (preferably in shipping, freight forwarding, logistics, or related sectors) Proficiency in Tally or similar accounting software; good working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word) Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal teams, vendors, and sub-agents Client-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment Quick learner with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Additional InformationThis role offers relocation and work sponsorship to Dubai for the selected candidate Opportunity to grow within the finance team into a Senior Accountant role with broader responsibilities and exposure to international finance operations Exposure to multi-regional operations including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Saudi Arabia
