We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer. In this role, you will: Oversee and the execution of business initiatives and activities in support of business area aims. Change Implementation projects are out of scope Participate in business planning activities which may include financial, technological and resource planning Facilitate & support senior management decision making by use of management information, performance information, analytics, forums, stakeholder feedback and HSBC strategy Participation in forums and committees to represent view of business area Participation in devising and monitoring of internal governance activities Investigating and seeking remedies for discrete issues which may be adversely affecting business unit performance Working with external service providers to manage or evaluate their provision, monitor their performance and ensure service level agreements are honoured. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: Management of multiple and diverse stakeholders and sponsors Identification and tracking of benefits may be difficult to quantify. Implementation of new finance systems and processes Working with multiple delivery and business partner teams Lead planning and forecasting process for Technology COO Analyse the main drivers within the Direct Costs & Charges and providing meaningful insight to senior clients. Collaboration with Finance Leads, Business Managers and several functions team to drive forecast accuracy and Target alignment. Prepare executive summary on monthly basis and scenario building to enable decision making for senior stakeholders. Develop and drive ways to effectively engage key stakeholders on a reporting change to ensure all plan / forecast data is aligned and agreed with reporting framework Define key controls and make sure forecast is accurate and meeting expectation. Identify opportunities for process improvements, work on standardizing process and provide solutions to management (for e.g., Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools) Support COO Finance Team with complex ad-hoc analysis Gain advanced understanding of Business and Business processes and apply to financial commentaries. Participate in Departmental / Global Projects Lead projects under regular reviews and guidance Propose proactive course corrections and ensure all the project milestones are met by the team. The successful candidate can also meet the following requirements: Solid experience of working with HSBC budget management and financial reporting processes is desirable. Familiarity with business case development and benefits tracking. Familiarity with Oracle finance tools and Clarity Experience managing diverse teams across multiple geographies. Highly numerate Strong Excel skills Self-starting and independent You\'ll achieve more when you join HSBC.
