Job Description

Design and develop plumbing systems for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings (including water supply, drainage, and gas piping systems). Prepare and review plumbing layouts, drawings, schematics, and technical specifications using AutoCAD or similar software. Ensure plumbing system designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, MEP teams, and contractors during the planning and construction phases. Conduct site inspections to monitor installation progress and ensure alignment with design specifications. Estimate quantities and costs of materials, equipment, and labor for plumbing projects. Select appropriate plumbing materials and fixtures based on project requirements and standards. Troubleshoot and resolve design, installation, or performance issues related to plumbing systems. Prepare documentation and reports including project proposals, design calculations, and maintenance manuals. Support sustainability initiatives by incorporating water-saving designs and technologies where applicable. Coordinate with authorities for approvals, permits, and inspections related to plumbing systems. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of plumbing codes, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
