Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the installation of plumbing systems in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. The Plumbing Engineer will collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other professionals to ensure plumbing systems meet safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

Design and Planning:

Develop detailed design plans and specifications for plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and fire suppression systems. Conduct calculations related to water flow, pipe sizing, pressure drops, and fixture unit counts. Ensure designs comply with local, state, and national plumbing codes and standards.

Project Coordination:

Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to integrate plumbing systems into overall building plans. Coordinate with construction teams and contractors during installation to ensure adherence to design specifications and timelines. Conduct site visits to assess existing plumbing conditions and provide technical support during construction.

Technical Expertise:

Select appropriate plumbing materials, equipment, and fixtures based on project requirements and budget considerations. Evaluate and recommend plumbing systems and components that enhance efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. Troubleshoot and resolve design and construction issues related to plumbing systems.

Documentation and Reporting:

Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and technical reports for plumbing designs. Maintain accurate records of project milestones, correspondence, and documentation. Provide regular updates and progress reports to project stakeholders.

Compliance and Safety:

Ensure all plumbing designs and installations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures related to plumbing systems. Stay informed about industry trends, advancements in plumbing technology, and regulatory changes.

Client Relations:

Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements, goals, and constraints. Provide professional and responsive communication to address client inquiries and concerns.
