We are looking for an experienced Plumbing Designer with hands-on experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and drafting plumbing systems for multi-story IT, commercial, residential, hospitality, and hospital buildings, ensuring compliance with local building codes and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
:
Design comprehensive plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, waste, and vent systems, for multi-storied buildings.
Create detailed plumbing layouts, schematics, and specifications using AutoCAD and other relevant software.
Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Coordinate with other MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) engineers, architects, and project stakeholders to integrate plumbing systems seamlessly into overall project designs.
Perform hydraulic calculations for pipe sizing, pump selection, and water pressure.
Prepare bill of materials (BOM) and technical reports.
Review and approve contractor/shop drawings, and provide technical support during construction phases.
Conduct site visits to ensure designs are being implemented according to plans and to troubleshoot any issues.
Qualifications and Skills
:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
0-3 years of experience in plumbing design for IT, commercial, residential, hospitality, and hospital projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Strong understanding of plumbing codes, standards, and regulations.
Experience in creating plumbing layouts, isometric drawings, and hydraulic calculations.
Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
:
Familiarity with green building practices and sustainable plumbing design.
Knowledge of fire protection and gas piping design is a plus.
